The woman whose body was found inside a burning car in Worcester last month has been identified.
Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said the woman has been identified as Marie R. Martin, 35, of 6 Granite St., Webster. Fire crews found her body inside a car on that was fully engulfed in flames on Swan Avenue on Nov. 4.
Officials said the area - surrounded by woods, with few homes, no street lights and a canopy of trees - is often used as a dumping ground.
The day after Martin's body was found, 40-year-old Thomas Hogan was arrested and charged with misleading the investigation. The district attorney's office has said he is a suspect in the killing.
The investigation by Worcester Police detectives is ongoing. No further information was released on Friday.
