Woman Injured After Tire Flies Off Truck, Crashes Into Car

Officials say she suffered lacerations to her face and broken teeth

Authorities say a Boston woman was seriously injured after a tire flew off a truck, bounced across the median and crashed into her car over the weekend in Waltham.

Fire officials say the woman was traveling northbound on Route 128 on Saturday when a truck lost two of its tires. One of them bounced into her car.

The other tire hit another car with two people inside. They weren't injured.

State police identified the victim on Sunday as Rose DeDominicis. Officials say she suffered lacerations to her face and broken teeth. She was treated at the hospital and released.

Police say the Lowell driver wasn't harmed. He was charged with operating without a license.

Authorities are investigating what caused the tires to come off the truck.
