Police in Manchester, New Hampshire, have arrested a man accused of being the suspect in an attempted armed robbery of a convenience store Wednesday.
Mark Ouellette, 27, was taken into custody early Thursday morning at 1:08. He is being charged with the attempted armed robbery of the 99 Cent and Cigarette Mart at 352 Kelley St.
The store’s clerk told police an unknown assailant with a handgun entered the store and demanded. The clerk allegedly picked up a hammer and gave chase to the suspect.
He gave up the case after running several blocks and returned to his store. A bystander who saw the chase followed the suspect to a residence at 20 Essex St.
Following investigation, officials determined that the suspect was Ouellette and placed him under arrest.
He will be arraigned in the 9th Circuit Court Thursday.
