Two sisters are suing an assisted living facility in New Hampshire a year after their father wandered away, never to be seen again.
Kim Cullins, of Tamworth, and Cheryl Poulin, of Saco, Maine, filed a lawsuit this week accusing Tamworth Community Living Inc. of negligence and breach of contract. They say the West Ossipee facility failed to adequately supervise their father, Dwain "Dewey" Poulin, who disappeared on Sept. 10, 2018 at the age of 84.
The lawsuit says the Alzheimer's disease patient was allowed to take unattended walks despite his worsening condition. His daughters say they bought him a clip-on tracking device after he disappeared for five hours in May 2018, but the facility didn't use it.
The home's administrator declined to comment on the lawsuit.
