Wrong-Way Driver Arrested in New Hampshire

New Hampshire State Police arrested a wrong-way driver early Sunday morning in Greenland, New Hampshire.

At 3:10 a.m., troopers were alerted by concerned motorists of the driver on I-95. The driver of the SUV traveled northbound on Route 16 in the southbound lanes.

The Dover toll booth on Route 16 was notified and asked to hold all southbound traffic. A state trooper approached the vehicle at the Dover tolls and saw signs of alcohol impairment.

The operator of the SUV, Theresa Ronco, 47, of Portland, Maine, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Ronco was sent to Newington Police Department and released later on bail.

She is scheduled to appear in the Strafford Superior Court on Sept. 19 for arraignment charges of reckless conduct and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
