Storms, Damaging Winds Likely Thursday

The storm potential for many areas of New England is high Thursday.

The biggest threat will be heavy winds and frequent lightning. A risk for a tornado is low, but there could very well be some significant tree damage.

The areas of concern are Worcester, Massachusetts, and points west and north. Also, the Boston Metro area can expect thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening. Central and Southern areas of New Hampshire, as well as northwestern areas of Connecticut will also be impacted.

As the storms swoop in, the humidity will sweep out.
