You're Getting Warmer

Now this is why we live in New England. Pollen aside, it was a stupendous day across the entire six state region. Highs soared to near 80 in the warmest spots, while sea breezes kept coastal communities in the 60s.

Another day of warmth is in store tomorrow as the upper atmosphere continues to warm and the sun continues to shine. I am watching the development of some low clouds off the Cape/Islands tomorrow. Some of these may get into the coastline from Southern Rhode Island out to Chatham. Certain the Vineyard and Nantucket will see them as warmer winds blow over chilly ocean water.

This same cloud deck will swarm across Eastern Massachusetts Friday, helping drop the temperatures and blot out the sun. Showers will advance as early as mid/late morning in Western Mass and then sweep east throughout the day. If your planning on stepping out Friday night, keep the umbrella nearby.

Saturday dawns bright and dry. We'll sandwich in a very mild day before the clouds approach by evening with a shower...and a lot cooler air for Sunday.

Next week will be all about getting out of that cool air and bringing back the 70s. The way the pattern is shaping up, it may take some time.
