Aftermath of Wild Bounce House Accident Caught on Camera

"It was a very scary day, complete accident, just a big random gust of wind came and lifted it up at least 50 ft and traveled in the air half the football field," a witness said. (Published Thursday, May 2, 2019)

A strong wind gust threw a large inflatable similar to a bounce house into the air in rural Washington state on Wednesday, leaving five high school students injured, NBC News reported.

The nature and extent of the five Zillah High School students' injuries was unclear, the school said in a statement. The incident took place during an event for the school's student body.

The inflatable lifted about 20 feet into the air and traveled more than 240 feet, the Yakima Herald-Republic reported.

The school said it was investigating the incident.
