Ayesha Curry regrets sounding off about the NBA Finals being rigged in a tweet after Game 6 that quickly went viral.
Coming to the defense of her husband, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, the 27-year-old Canadian native blamed the team's Game 6 loss on a "rigged" system.
"I've lost all respect sorry this is absolutely rigged for money... Or ratings in not sure which. I won't be silent. Just saw it live sry," she wrote in a tweet that was later deleted.
Curry was called for a foul during the game, and her tweet was rooted in the belief that it stopped the team from going on to a victory.
While Ayesha Curry subsequently explained she "tweeted in the heat of the moment because the call was uncalled for," nearly a month later she's airing her regret over the entire ordeal.
"I was just a fan in that moment so I didn't think about the ramifications," she told People. "I regret the way that I voiced how hurt I was. I felt hurt for [Steph], and I didn't mean to offend anybody. Obviously, what I wrote is not what I think about what he does for a living."

Though some time has already passed since the social media faux pas, Curry has bared the brunt of digital bullying.
"Since all this hoopla has happened, I have been a victim of reading the comments," she explained to the magazine. "It hurts my feelings because I didn't intend to hurt anybody. I apologized for it, and I feel like people should move on. There's a lot more serious things going on in the world."
Curry's husband has his wife's back.
"I know her intentions. I know where she was coming from," he told People. "You're not going to win any battles on Twitter, so I tell her, 'Keep being you. Keep doing what you're doing. Don't worry about what people are going to say.'"
