China May Cap CO2 Emissions After 2016: Adviser

China is considering a cap on its CO2 emissions from 2016, a senior adviser said on Tuesday. It's not clear at what level the cap would be set and the final number is unlikely to be released until the country has worked out more details of the five-year plan sometime next year, according to Reuters. The announcement comes one day after Washington announced new targets for its power sector, a sign of a potential breakthrough in U.N. climate talks.
