A man has been charged with murder five months after a deadly shooting in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
The Essex County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday that 39-year-old Carlos Manuel Rivera had been arrested on murder charges in the May 6 shooting death of 40-year-old Jeffrey Larkin.
Police responded to the intersection of Grand Avenue and Emerson Street to find Larkin suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Holy Family Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities say Rivera knew Larkin and the shooting was not a random act.
The DA's office added that 25-year-old Sky Stefanelli was also indicted Wednesday on a charge of accessory after the fact.
Rivera will be arraigned Thursday in Haverhill. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
