Samsung's Smart TV May Be Eavesdropping

Samsung's Smart TV can capture both spoken and text messages from its customers without their knowledge, meaning that owners of Smart TVs may need to watch what they say in their own homes, NBC News reported Monday. "Please be aware that if your spoken words include personal or other sensitive information, that information will be among the data captured and transmitted to a third party through your use of Voice Recognition," according to the Smart TV's privacy policy. And while the TV's voice features can be disabled, Samsung may still collect "associated texts and other usage data."
