Cinemas are set to sizzle this season with action blockbusters ("Edge of Tomorrow," "Transformers 4"), tear-jerkers ("Fault in Our Stars") and comedies ("22 Jump Street," "Tammy").
Check out this year's big summer movies coming to a theater near you:
"Edge of Tomorrow" (June 6) - Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in this sci-fi action-thriller from the director of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." Cruise plays a solider who dies and then comes back to relive the same battle over and over again. Think "Groundhog Day" in space, only with more action and less laughs.
"Fault In Our Stars" (June 6) - For those who like a good cry. Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort star in this adaptation of John Green's popular young-adult novel about a sixteen-year-old cancer patient (Woodley) who meets a seventeen-year-old ex-basketball player and amputee (Elgort) at a cancer support group meeting.
"22 Jump Street" (June 13) - This follow-up to the hugely successful "21 Jump Street" reboot of 2012 reunites Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as misfit cops who have graduated from high school, and now must go deep undercover at a local college.
"How To Train Your Dragon 2" (June 13) - Set five years after Hiccup and Toothless successfully united dragons and vikings on the island of Berk, the pair find themselves embroiled in a new adventure when they discover an ice cave home to hundreds of wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider.
"Jersey Boys" (June 20) - Clint Eastwood directs this adaptation of the hugely-popular Broadway musical that chronicles rise to fame of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in the mid-1960s.

"Think Like a Man Too" (June 20) - This sequel - inspired by Steve Harvey's best-selling book "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man" - brings all the couples from the first installment back for a wedding in Las Vegas. Kevin Hart, Regina Hall, Terrence Jenkins and Taraji P. Henson star.
"Transformers: Age of Extinction" (June 27) - This fourth installment of the "more than meets the eye" franchise stars Mark Wahlberg and features dinobot Transformers. Enough said.
"Deliver Us From Evil" (July 2) - A based-on-true-events horror movie produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (see "Transformers: Age of Extinction"), it stars Eric Bana as NY cop who joins forces with an priest (Edgar Ramirez) to combat possessions that are terrorizing the city. Olivia Munn and Joel McHale also feature.
"Tammy" (July 2) - Melissa McCarthy and Susan Sarandon star in this R-rated comedy about a down-on-her-luck woman who hits the road with profane, hard-drinking grandmother. It's co-written by McCarthy with her husband, Ben Falcone (who directs).
"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" (July 11) - Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and Andy Serkis feature in this sequel to "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." Genetically evolved apes battle humans for domination of the planet.
"The Purge: Anarchy" (July 18) - It's time for the purge once again in this sequel to the a 2013 horror hit about an annual 12-hour period in which any and all crime is legalized.
"Hercules" (July 25) - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson stars as Hercules in Brett Ratner's latest sword-and-sandals reboot of the muscle-bound demi-god.
"Sex Tape" (July 25) - Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel play a married couple who discover their amateur sex tape has gone missing. Rob Lowe, Rob Corddry and Ellie Kemper co-star in this comedy of errors.
"Get On Up" (August 1) - Chadwick Boseman stars as James Brown in this biopic directed by Tate Taylor ("The Help").
"Guardians of the Galaxy" (August 1) - In this, the latest addition to the Marvel Universe, Chris Pratt stars as a human who leads a band of galactic outlaw misfits in a bid to save the universe.
"The Hundred-Foot Journey" (August 8) - Produced by Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg, this adaptation of the best-selling book stars Helen Mirren as Madame Mallory. Mallory must contend with an Indian family who moves to France and opens an eatery across the street from her Michelin-starred restaurant.
"Lucy" (August 8) - Scarlett Johannson stars in drug mule whose implanted cargo leaks into her system giving her super powers in this English-language, French-produced film directed, written, edited, and co-produced by Luc Besson ("The Fifth Element," "La Femme Nikita").
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (August 8) - Pizza-loving mutant turtles, a giant rat and Megan Fox feature in the Michael Bay-produced reboot of the 1980s cult cartoon series.
"The Expendables 3" (August 15) They're back - for the third time! Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Harrison Ford, Jason Statham, Wesley Snipes and Mel Gibson star in next chapter of the franchise about a group of aging operatives who find themselves once again in the firing line.
"The Giver" (August 15) - Alexsander Skarsgard, Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridge, Katie Holmes, Brenton Thwaites and Taylor Swift star star in this adaptation of the seminal young-adult novel by Lois Lowry. "The Giver" follows Jonas, a boy who has been chosen to inherit the position of "Receiver of Memory," the person who stores all the past memories of the time before "Sameness" in what appears to be a Utopian society.
"Let's Be Cops" (August 13) - Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. star as two down-on-their-luck friends who dress as police officers for a costume party and become neighborhood sensations. Comedy ensues when real-life mobsters arrive on the scene.
"Sin City: A Dame to Die For" (August 22) - Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Josh Brolin and Rosario Dawson star in directors Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez's noir sequel to 2005's "Sin City."
