A fire that started on the porch of a building in Worcester, Massachusetts, has displaced eight residents, according to fire department officials.
Firefighters responded to the fire at 50 Richmond Avenue at 1:12 a.m. and saw that the fire had extended into the building and the attic.
"Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze without incident or injury," officials said in a statement.
No one was injured in the blaze.
The building suffered "significant" smoke, fire and water damage.
The fire is under investigation.
