    6-Alarm Fire in Ayer Shuts Down Nearby Commuter Rail Service

    A 6-alarm fire in Ayer, Massachusetts, is affecting the MBTA commuter rail, according to fire officials.

    The fire, which is on East Main Street, is adjacent to railroad tracks, and fire crews from multiple towns have set up across the tracks to fight it, according to the Ayer Fire Department.

    It's unclear how the fire started or if there are any injuries at this time.
