Man Charged in Fatal Motorcycle Hit-and-Run

Raul Lastor Pol is charged with leaving the scene of an accident that killed a motorcyclist in Providence, Rhode Island.

Police in Providence, Rhode Island, say they've arrested a hit-and-run driver who fled the scene of an accident that killed a motorcycle rider.

Twenty-five-year-old Guatemala native Raul Lastor Pol was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, death resulting, and driving without a license in connection with the accident Saturday night on Plainfield Street.

Police say Pol was driving a car that turned in front of an oncoming motorcycle. The car and motorcycle collided, sending the motorcycle crashing into a convenience store.

The motorcyclist was later pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital. His name hasn't been released yet.

Police say Pol fled the scene, but later returned and was arrested. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.
