Man Robbed Marlborough Pizza Shop at Gunpoint: Police

A man robbed a Marlborough pizza shop at gunpoint on Tuesday night and police are asking for help to identify him.

The man pulled a black semiautomatic handgun at Village Green Pizza, at 32 East Hampton Road, around 8:30 p.m. and said “No monkey business” to the employees while demanding all of the money in the cash register and ordering them to stay back, police said.

The employees put the cash a white plastic takeout bag with a yellow smiley face on it.

Now police are searching for the robber, who is described as a green eyed stocky man who stands around 6-feet tall.

He was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, a black facemask and black mechanic-type gloves with white writing on the back.

He left in a dark, possibly green, later model Honda or Toyota and headed east toward Route 2.
