A New Hampshire man faces several charges for manufacturing and possessing child pornography.

Brian Powell, 33, of Salem was taken into custody Monday night after police obtained an arrest warrant.

He's charged with three counts of manufacturing child sex abuse images, three counts of possessing child pornography and three counts of certain use of computer services prohibited.

Powell's arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation initiated by the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Powell refused the services of a bail commissioner, and was transported to the Rockingham County Jail. He'll be arraigned on Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing and there is a possibility that Powell may face additional charges.
