Officials in Lowell, Massachusetts, say they found a foot-long alligator on the side of a road.
Police say the gator was spotted walking along South Walker Street in the Highlands section of the city Sunday around 7:30 p.m.
Officers arrived and found the reptile, and animal control officers arrived to take the gator to a facility specializing in reptile rehabilitation for evaluation and care.
No other details were immediately available.
