    Commuters Witness Shooting in Roxbury

    A man was shot Friday afternoon at a Boston bus stop.

    A man is in critical condition after he was shot Friday afternoon at a bus stop in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood, and two people have been arrested, police say.

    Dashawn Price, 23, of Roxbury, and Jean Cassamajor, 18, of Dorchester, are facing charges of armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition following the Warren Street shooting, police said Saturday morning.

    Officers received a 911 call around 3:58 p.m. Friday for a person shot. They found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim, identified only as a man around the age of 20, was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

    Passengers on board an MBTA bus witnessed the shooting, police said. The driver of the bus suffered a medical episode.

A jury cleared Brooke Skylar Richardson, 20, of aggravated murder, involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment charges of a baby she had given birth to and buried in the family's backyard.

    The driver's condition was not immediately known.

    While canvassing the area, responding officers observed Price and Cassamajor fleeing the scene as they jumped over a backyard fence on Humboldt Avenue.

    Both suspects were detained and placed in police custody following interviews with detectives.

    Price and Cassamajor are expected to appear in Roxbury District Court at an upcoming date for their arraignment. It's unclear if they have attorneys.

    The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
