There was excited anticipation at JC Penny in the The Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire, as the crowd waits for the doors to the mall to open.
Over a hundred employees gave up their Thanksgiving to work. JC Penny opened at 3 p.m. this Thanksgiving Day, while the rest of the mall opened at 6 p.m.
Most shoppers headed out after dinner to check out the deals stores had to offer.
The Thanksgiving rush includes many young shoppers like Yasen Moukara, a Malden resident who, after his turkey dinner, came to the mall with his cousin and bought some new pants.
"These are a newer style because the zipper is not on the outside, it's on the inside which is more modern. I only paid 65 for both pairs," he said.
