Patriots Fans Pumped After Win Over Texans

(NECN: Justin Michaels, Boston) - Sunday night's Patriots 41-28 win over the Texans had fans pumped Monday morning, all looking forward to next weekend's match up against the Baltimore Ravens.

Talk in Boston Monday morning was not about the AFC Championship next weekend. It's about that big game on Feb. 3 - the Super Bowl.

"We're definitely going to the super bowl," Jeff McCormick said.

Kristen McCormick and her dad, Jeff, who was actually at last night's game in Foxboro, are going to the Super Bowl in New Orleans if the Pats make it.

"It's one of those memories with the family that at this age I hope they'll never forget so we're looking forward to it."

One of the tests to get to the Super Bowl happened Sunday night…and excitement was high after the win over the Texans.

Fans at Gillette were giddy after Sunday night's win over the Houston Texans, advancing the Pats to the AFC Championship next weekend.

"The energy was terrific. I actually didn't expect the score to get as lopsided as it did."

"I expected the Patriots to win. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was."

But hopefully the rematch turns out better than the Patriots first match against the Ravens this season when the Pats lost.

And that had some fans concerned Sunday night for a little bit.

"I thought it'd be tight but it was a little too close for my comfort. I like a little bigger lead."

But in the end the 41-28 win over the Texans energized the already energy packed Pats fans - giving them something to look forward to and talk about all week before kickoff next Sunday.

"Next week I'm really looking forward to a great game. A rematch," one fan said.
