Powerful Winds Sock Much of Upper Midwest

(NECN/The Weather Channel) - A storm pounding the upper Midwest today is being compared to a hurricane. The storm brought heavy rain and win to the region and caused flight delays at one of the busiest airports.

The storm has snapped power lines and knocked homes right off their foundations. Winds have gusted over 70 mph.

Janel Klein of The Weather Channel reports from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
