The Patriots will be without leading rusher Shane Vereen tomorrow night when they face the New York Jets. Vereen hurt his wrist in Sunday's 23-21 win over the Buffalo Bills and is on injured reserve with a designation to return.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Giants have signed running back Brandon Jacobs who played for the Giants from 2005-2011 and was a part of two Super Bowl-winning teams. Jacobs has played in 100 regular-season games for the Giants with 48 starts. New York will meet Denver on Sunday.

The former Pro Bowl tight end had a terrific debut with the Jets on Sunday, catching a team-leading seven passes for 79 yards and a touchdown in the 18-17 win over Tampa Bay. Winslow played in just one game last year — one catch for New England — after being a late-summer cut by Seattle.
