(NECN: Justin Michaels, Danvers, Mass.) – We’re following breaking news in Danvers, Mass. where there has been a police-involved shooting.

Justin Michaels is at a police staging area just down the hill from the Avalon Danvers apartment complex where there is currently a very active investigation into something that happened there Thursday night.

According to a release from Danvers Police, officers responded to an alleged assault. The investigation indicated that a robbery took place. A suspect was shot in an officer involved shooting, which is now being investigated by Danvers Police and Massachusetts State Police.

No police officers have been shot.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital. We have no word on his condition at this hour.
