(NECN: Jay Carr) - Two time Oscar winner Hillary Swank fastens her seatbelts for a portrait of pilot Amelia Earhart.

This biopic also stars Richard Gere and Ewan McGregor, who are involved in the tale's love triangle.

Her story is long overdue, and part of the mystique is that she was never found.

The problem with this film is that, though it looks great, her story is treated almost with too much respect and reverence.

The film communicates that her real love is flying, and that costs the story.
