(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - Dozens of Jimmy Fund cancer patients took off an unforgettable trip Friday. They're in Atlanta where they'll watch the Red Sox take on the Braves tomorrow.
In all, there are 45 teenagers on the trip. Videographer John Hamman caught up with them at the Daba-Farber Cancer Institute before they boarded byses for Logan Airport.
They're leaving their parents behind, and will be chaperoned by doctors, nurses and other Dana-Farber staff.
The Jimmy Fund organizes a trip like this every year. It gives patients a chance to meet some of their favorite Sox players who have supported the organization.
