| July 3, 2009 Boston prepares for Fourth of July celebration

(NECN: Kristen Caira, Boston, Mass.) - All eyes are on Boston's Esplanade this weekend, as the city gets ready to host its big July Fourth celebration.
The main event is tomorrow, but there's still plenty going on tonight.
Neil Diamond will headline the annual Boston Pops celebration on the Esplanade Saturday night, hosted by CBS' Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson.
The Grammy Award winner arrived in Boston just in time for Friday morning's sound check.
An estimated 500,000 people were expected to line the banks of the Charles River for Saturday's concert and fireworks display -- rain or shine.
NECN's Kristen Caira has more details on the event.
