(NECN/WTNH) - More than 300 birds were taken from a home in Harwinton, Connecticut on Friday.
Now, state police are investigating a possible cockfighting ring.
Troopers say the roosters were trained to fight.
Authorities also found cock-fighting ring paraphernalia, glue, spurs, and medicines.
Because of the animals temperament, authorities say it is likely many of them will have to be put down.
The owner is listed an Angel Lasario.
He has not been charged yet, but state police say he is being investigated for animal cruelty and gambling charges.
