September 15, 2009 Famous giraffe collapses, dies at Boston zoo Play video

(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - A giraffe being used in the filming of a movie has died at a Boston zoo.

The animal, which had no known health problems, collapsed in its enclosure while feeding and in the care of a trainer at Franklin Park Zoo. Necropsy results are pending.
