(NECN) - The Maine Red Claws have introduced Austin Ainge as the team's head coach. He is the son of Boston Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge. Ainge spent last season as a scout for the Celtics, and was in part responsible for working with rookies J.R. Giddens and Bill Walker while they were on assignment with Utah of the NBA D-League. Ainge has experience serving as an assistant coach for Southern Utah University, and most recently coached the Celtics summer league. Austin says he will be a little less intense than his father on the sidelines. He says, "I remember when my dad was coaching the Suns, at one point he took the ball and drop kicked it 40 rows up. I don’t think I would see myself ever doing something like that."
