It's the first summit of its kind since President Bush's first year in office.
The two are expected to sign an agreement to reduce their nuclear arsenals.
While he's in Russia, the President will also meet with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and former President Mikhail Gorbachev.
He'll also deliver a major speech.
