NECN business editor Peter Howe was on the Business Beat looking at the latest jobless figures in Massachusetts.

With 214,000 jobs added in Oct. and the unemployment rate down to 5.8 percent, Howe explained that the numbers are headed in the right direction.

Howe also discussed the future of casinos in Massachusetts now that voters said "yes." He noted that there may be some political timing determining when the Everett, Massachusetts, Wynn Resort environmental plan will be submitted.
