1 Dead, 2 Seriously Hurt in DUI Crash

A man was killed and two other people were seriously hurt in what police are calling a DUI crash Saturday afternoon in Chester, New Hampshire.

Police say 47-year-old Craig Vanier of Chester, driving a Ford Fusion, crossed onto the wrong side of Derry Road and hit a Kia Sedona driven by 66-year-old Susan McMahon of Wincham. That Sedona was then forced onto the other side of the road, hitting a Dodge Ram driven by 60-year-old Kevin Lally of Derry.

Sixty-five-year-old John McMahon, also of Windham, was a passenger in the Sedona. He was badly injured and died at the scene. Susan McMahon was taken to Parkland Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Lally also sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Elliott Hospital.

    Vanier wasn't hurt.

Police arrested Vanier and charged him with aggravated DUI.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call (603) 223-8614.
