The "fiscal and management control board" was created by Legislature after Gov. Charlie Baker and Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollack lobbied for its creation

The board responsible for balancing the budget of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority following a harsh winter is set to unveil its first report, according to the Boston Globe.

The "fiscal and management control board" was created by Legislature after Gov. Charlie Baker and Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollack lobbied for its creation.

The board, created following a winter of severe delays and cancellations amid record-breaking snow, has 60 days under the legislation to show a report outlining their progress.

Another report to be released in December will outline recommended improvements.
