(NECN) - A hearing is scheduled for Tuesday for the Massachusetts State Police sergeant punished for releasing photos of the arrest of Boston Marathon bombings suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Sergeant Sean Murphy, a 25-year veteran of the state police, was suspended for one day after he provided a number of photos to Boston Magazine.
Many state officials and the U.S. Attorney condemned the photo release.
A Facebook page has been set up in support of Sgt. Murphy.
On the page is a photo of Murphy and marathon bombings victim Jeff Bauman.
The hearing is not open to the public.
