(NECN: Jackie Bruno, Winchester, Mass.) - Investigators are trying to determine if a mountain lion was actually spotted in Winchester, Mass.
The animal was apparently spotted in the Dunster Lane neighborhood off of Pepper Hill Drive this week.
Massachusetts Environmental Police were called into the scene and found prints resembling those of a mountain lion.
Winchester Police sent out this tweet:

There hasn't been a confirmed mountain lion sighting in the area since 1858.
