Boston Students Face Significant Bus Delays

On Tuesday many routes were left uncovered due to drivers not showing up for work, according to Boston Public Schools

Just a day after several hundred students were left without transportation to school in Boston Monday, many students faced another round of delays and issues Tuesday.

School officials say 13 of the 120 morning bus routes did not run Monday, leaving nearly 400 hundred students sitting at their bus stops waiting for a ride.

On Tuesday, more routes were left uncovered due to drivers not showing up for work, according to Boston Public Schools.

As of 7:15 Tuesday morning there were 20 routes that were left uncovered. Those routes were eventually filled over time as Veolia, the bus company, filled the routes with supervisors.

All routes were filled by 8:40, but students were told to expect heavy delays.

According to Boston Public Schools, the MBTA will be free for students Tuesday.
