    A female victim and a companion were walking beside the pond near Jamaicaway when a man assaulted her around 10 p.m. and fled, according to police. (Published Friday, Sept. 23, 2016)

    Boston Police are investigating an indecent assault that took place at Jamaica Pond Thursday night.

    A female victim and a companion were walking beside the pond near Jamaicaway when a man assaulted her around 10 p.m. and fled, according to police.

    The suspect is described as being six feet tall and between 250 and 300 pounds. He had a beard and was believed to be wearing a baseball hat, a grey T-shirt and long pants at the time of the attack.

    Boston Police say its Sexual Assault Unit is reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
