A man charged with killing his wife the day she filed for divorce has started testifying at his trial in New Hampshire.

James Robarge is on trial on a first-degree murder charge and an alternate charge of second-degree murder. He has been in custody since his arrest in 2013, a week after the body of Kelly Robarge was found.

The 45-year-old Robarge maintains his innocence.

Jurors watched a surveillance video showing 42-year-old Kelly Robarge filing for divorce at family court in Claremont the morning of June 27, 2013, the day she vanished.

Her badly decomposed body was found nine days later in Unity, not far from her home in Charlestown.

At the time of the divorce filing, the Robarges had been separated and he was living in Saxtons River, Vermont.
