Men Killed in Skydiving Accident Identified

48-year-old Eldon Burrier and 29-year-old Andrew Munson died in tragic Cape Cod accident

The two victims killed Sunday in a tragic skydiving accident on Cape Cod have been identified.

The Cape and Islands District Attorney's office and the police department in Barnstable, Massachusetts, announced Monday that 29-year-old Andrew Munson of Nantucket and 48-year-old Eldon Burrier of West Lynnwood, Washington, were killed in the jump.

Burrier was a skydiving instructor. He jumped in tandem with Munson from a plane. The victims missed the intended landing spot on Cape Cod Airfield, falling onto the garage of a residence across Race Lane.

The plane from which Burrier and Munson jumped was operated by Sky Dive Barnstable, located at the airfield.

Barnstable Police and Massachusetts State Police are continuing to investigate the accident, as are the National Transportation Safety Board, Federal Aviation Administration and Massachusetts Aeronautics Association.
