Police Using Social Media to Identify Keene Rioters

Police in Keene, New Hampshire are turning to social media to help identify the students believed to have been involved in the riots at the Keene Pumpkin Festival over the weekend

Police in Keene, New Hampshire are turning to social media to help identify the students believed to have been involved in the riots at the Keene Pumpkin Festival over the weekend.

Celebrations at the festival got out of hand as some who attended lit fires, flipped cars and threw bottles, causing some injuries. Police responded and unloaded tear gas into the crowds.

Police say they are accessing social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to college still images and video files.

Over 100 responses were received that identified subjects when press released showed potential subjects.

Arrest warrants will be sought once subjects have been identified sufficient enough to proceed with criminal charges.
