Puppy Recovering After Being Tossed Out of Vehicle

Witnesses told officials they spotted an unidentified male throw the puppy near the Tsongas Arena while the vehicle was still in motion

The Animal Rescue League says a puppy is recovering after it was tossed out of a window in Lowell, Massachusetts, earlier this week.

Witnesses told officials they spotted an unidentified male throw the puppy near the Tsongas Arena while the vehicle was still in motion. The driver then sped away.

The ARL says two people rushed the puppy, a 10-week-old male teacup Yorkshire Terrier, now known as Austin, to the Wignall Animal Hospital.

The puppy had bleeding on the left side of his jaw and neck. Medical treatment cost over $400.

The ARL says he is quickly recovering, but is not up for adoption.
