Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a vehicle was struck by a bullet on Interstate 495 in Milford on Monday afternoon.
The driver of the vehicle told police he initially thought he had been struck by a rock but when he pulled over onto Route 126 in Bellingham at about 5:30 p.m., he saw what appeared to be a bullet hole.
When troopers responded to the scene, they confirmed that the man's vehicle had indeed been struck with a bullet.
A search of the area was conducted, including use of the State Police Air Wing, but police could not locate a suspect.
Authorities from the State Police Crime Scene Services are now processing evidence from the vehicle as part of their investigation.
