Midday Forecast: Heavy Downpours, Isolated Showers

Keep your umbrella handy because the rain will continue to come down, especially in southern New England (Published Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014)

(NECN) – Meteorologist Nelly Carreno says we have another round of heavy rain coming through.
The heaviest downpours are and will continue to be across southern New England, the Cape and the islands; the rain will continue Wednesday afternoon and night.

Be aware of isolated flooding. The possibility exists, especially with the addition inch to two inches of rain that will come down Wednesday afternoon and overnight.

Northern New England has a couple of isolated showers and is mostly cloudy.

Mother’s Day weekend will be great, but first we need to get done with all this rain.

Carreno has more on the rain and this week’s forecast, including a great-looking weekend.
