(NECN: Greg Wayland, Foxboro, Mass.) - A mother and her 9-year-old son are being evaluated at area hospitals after their van struck a school bus in Foxboro.
The damage to the vehicles appeared extensive, but the condition of the mother and her son remains unknown.
The four middle school students and driver aboard the bus were examined by EMTs and determined to be unharmed.
The mother was transported to Norwood Hospital, and her son was taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Rhode Island.
Authorities say the accident is still under investigation.
