    Snow has canceled classes for many Massachusetts schools this week, but not for these South Shore Ballet theatre students.

    These last minute preparations are for the Youth American Grand Prix regional semi-final dance competition, happening this weekend in Boston.

    The competition is open to all dancers, ages 9 to 19. Boston, is just one stop on the 20-city international tour.

    Each competitor is hoping for a chance to attend the finals in New York.

    Where over a thousand of the world's most promising dancers will receive scholarships and professional performance opportunities.

    Seventeen-year-old Kendra Frank from Cape Cod is hoping for one of those scholarships. This will be her fifth time competing.

    Meanwhile, 12-year-old Mary Schwarzer from Norwell is competing for the first time and is excited for the experience.

    The Youth American Grand Prix begins Friday. Audtions will take place at the Lynn Memorial Auditorium from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

    All audtions are open to the public to watch.
