It's time for a monthly update on the new and headline grabbing developments in the life sciences industry in Massachusetts.

Susan Windham-Bannister, president and CEO of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, joins NECN to discuss a new report showing that the industry has been a job creator in the state.

"I think the most important thing it shows is how important the life sciences has been in bringing Massachusetts out of some hard times," she said.

She also takes a look at some of the company arrivals and expansions in the state's life science industry.

"Pfizer recently formally opened its new building in Kendall Square - 1,000 employees in this building," said Windham-Bannister.
