Mohegan Sun to Build Casino at South Korea Airport

The resort would be connected to a private jet terminal at the airport

The Indian tribe that operates the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut has reached an agreement to build and run a gaming resort on the grounds of Incheon International Airport in South Korea.

The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority and the Incheon International Airport Corporation announced Monday they have signed a memorandum of understanding for a resort that would include a 1,000-bedroom hotel, a casino with 250 tables and 1,500 slot machines, a 20,000-seat arena, an outdoor amusement park and other entertainment.

The resort would be connected to a private jet terminal at the airport.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The organizations say they hope to sign a final conceptual agreement by the end of June.

Incheon is the eighth largest airport in the world, serving about 45 million people a year.
