Stepson: My Mom Killed My Step-Father

Police say a body recovered from a shallow Jefferson grave is Charles Woodburn, who was last seen alive 12 years ago

The stepson of a Maine man found buried in his front yard believes his mother was the killer.

Police say a body recovered from a shallow Jefferson grave is Charles Woodburn, who was last seen alive 12 years ago. The state medical examiner says Woodburn's death was a homicide.

The Portland Press Herald reports Woodburn's stepson, Brian Darling, says his mother Diane Darling killed Woodburn, her husband at the time. Diane Darling died in 2010. Brian Darling says his mother remarried and her husband at the time of her death told Brian about the killing after she died.

Husband Robert Gaudette denies ever telling Brian Darling that Diane was the killer. He says Brian is bitter about an inheritance dispute.
